Espada Gothica 2: Nocturnis Librium Event

The Espada Gothica 2 is more than just an Event; it's a riveting story of one Goddess whom fell victim to the power of Espada Gothica, and how it transformed a beautiful soul with a contrite heart to a dwelling dark house with a stripped humanity.

For all that knows me acknowledges that I love fashion on Home. Twilight Touch is a brand for creativity and expression of the medium, through art house videos to articles and photo shoots of the commodity dressed.

However, not many are aware of the second love that I have for a particular genre, mainly in video games: fantasy. It's laced in such Role-Playing Games (RPGs) like Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire, even my all-time favorite RPG, Suikoden II. I even breakout my old Battlechasers comic or a Ma Wing Shing classic, Storm Riders, and dive into the works of the authors and artists alike. What fascinates me about the genre is how immersive these worlds are, which strays away from the typical Elves and Dragons and expands on those realms a bit.

A good example to this a book titled "Scion" by Ron Marz and Jimmy Cheung. The book told a classic story of good and evil in a medival/techno setting that toned a world through enchanting artworks and riveting storytelling, without the exaggerations of the fantasy lore.

What fascinates me overall about the RPG genre is how it integrates on Home. Though Lockwood's "Mercia" is a subtle example of gameplay in a social construct, my thoughts on how many could "role-play" their created characters on Home and expand beyond their imaginations, much like the table top classic Dungeons and Dragons.

It's much to my upcoming Fantasy/Gothic Event under the brand, Espada Gothica. Last year's event was loosely based on a collaboration with my friend, 8 Bit Journal, who also has love for the genre. I featured a promo video that lightly served as a base for what's to come but too many people inquired upon the story about the video, let alone of the characters. Two in particular, Solstice Leigh and Ayameko, as the latter wasn't seen in last year's presentation.

In this installment it's revealed Solstice's motive along with the appearance of Ayameko Yumei (Dream Child of Iris). It's a story about how one's love goes so deep as to removing an identity in favor of darkness.

Solstice Leigh was heralded as a beautiful Goddess who once cared for her people, until her choice to wield the "Espada Gothica" that has stripped of her humanity in exchange for revenge against Ayameko, which lead to her ultimate demise.

This video presentation is a thorough explanation of the happenings after the events of the first story. The two Familiars, Gunther and Gen, are both slain by Ayameko's Ice Blade. Solstice (stripped form) revealed to have raided the Mount Olympus--Ayameko's Home--and have killed several Soldiers in the process, to feed the soul of the Nocturnis Librium (the Knowledge of Darkness) in retaliation of her lover's death by Ayameko's hand. It is revealed that Ayameko brought demise to him simply due to his treacherous actions upon stealing the "Ambrosia Lumiere" (Lighting Ambrosia), which would grant the bearer immortality and eternal youth.

It's further expounded that Solstice's lover was once under the guide of Ayameko's people (which remains unclear of her origins), only to betray them in favor of Solstice's enticement to gain the Ambrosia. In actuality, he literally despised the woman; in her past, she liberated his country. In turn, Ayameko's purpose was to recover the item (by any means necessary) and once for all bring down the ill-fated Solstice, who is now far gone within the power of the Espada Gothica.

The Delubrum Ira (Sanctum of Rage) is a setting that was conceived by Solstice's remaining feelings: rage, lust, greed, power. It is the place where the final battle was documented and the power of the Nocturnis Librium took form (Solstice Summonitus).

Solstice was a vessel for the Gothica Sword. To her legitimate knowledge, she loved this man (it was said to be by the name "Saul") and would do anything for him. She had a loving, peaceful nature, with a warm smile that pierces through hearts that encourages to turn sadness into happiness. Of her three sisters, Solstice was a Warbringer and brought many battles under victorious belts. She has shown tremendous power through ruthless skill and strategic intellect, which garnered her the name "Goddess of Light".

Her actions, her rage, the greed finally took a toll onto this once beautiful body and, in-turn, gave into the darkness of the gospel. Out of it all, she sought revenge on who had took her love away, but grew immensely into liberating innocent souls of men, women, and even children. Her attempts to quench her thirst for said revenge grew pale until she was faced with the source of her selfishness.

For that alone, she was blind by the love for one who only used her beautiful soul due to his own selfish agenda. It was all a lie, and the gospel had enhanced her delusions of grandeur to her ill-fate.

As Ayameko walk away from her final battle, she sheds a tear of empathy for this woman. She felt her pain, watching her limp body turn into ash and dispersing into thin air, along with a shrilling laugh from the Sword of Chaos. Solstice didn't die from the hands of Ayameko...

She died of a broken heart.
