Billabong 2013 on Playstation Home

Billabong is back for 2013 and they are bringing some beach wear for all to enjoy, along with some nice dresses. This article focuses on two releases of their fashions on Home.

I think it's pretty fair to say that it was great to see some new fashions from Billabong this year. 

In fact, let me break that down to you; it's a breath of fresh air to the fashion community to see some new designs from this line. 

In case you've been dipping yourself too much into the skimpy diva wear ala bikini tops, thigh high boots and short shorts Veemee released some incredible fashions from the real-world designer brand, Billabong. The line has a reknown for their earthy, casual fashions with a sprinkle of beach wear. From the beginning, we saw a plethora of fabulous dresses and some variety of pants and ski wear, which not many are onto that sort of spectrum these days, seeing as how skimpy wear in the cold weather helps keep their entire bodies warm, let alone showcase a classy motif about their character.

Though some of the dresses from the line saw quite a trend, it's how diverse the designs are that aren't over-the-top. Perhaps one of the many examples is the all-so-versatile Rio Mio - Black skirt, which can be combined with practically any top you can find on Home and still possess some depth. 

Regardless of it all, this year the fashion company brings to us some elegant apparel in the form of spring and beach wear.

And "Away We Go"

For the dress offerings, we have "Away We Go" in two colors (Charcoal and the luscious "Cool Wip") and "Prohibition" (also in Charcoal). 

"Prohibition"

The strapless "Away We Go" with a fringe detail works as a spring dress, in my eyes. It is definitely a comfortable design that you can wear anywhere on any occasion, whether it's at the beach, the night out to your favorite dance Club, or just to lounge around at your tropical paradisio. As it is accessory friendly, I tend to lean towards Peep-Toe Heels to color coordinate with the black and purple trim, or some nice sandal heels for a relaxation appeal. 

The "Prohibition" dress is more of your casual night out style gown, with a hint of sensuality that hugs your figure a bit loosely. For a solid tiered spaghetti strap dress I find it to be pretty adorable, though it slightly reminds me of their "Lovelorn" design but the sheer elegance is the difference with the two. 

"Cool Wip"

The "Cool Wip" variant of Away We Go was a nice surprise and pleasant to the eyes. It catches the sun very well and adds more to the relaxing nature, which is what I favor more. Each dress comes at a price tag for $1.99. If your desire is to add more casual dresses to your wardrobe, you should really look into these. 


As for the swim wear for the ladies, this is a first for Billabong to release such bikini designs on Home. 

"Allison"

For their first release, two styles--Allison and Kellie--are introduced and by default, I favor the Allison style more than Kellie. The Coral color option is also a first not just from the developer, but to ever appear even on Home. The design for the bottoms is as charming as how it fits onto your avatar's body. 

The Black variant is also very appealing and I personally think it looks remarkable on lighter-skinned tone avatars for great definition. Overall, this is a highly welcoming addition to my swimsuit wardrobe, as the bundle comes in two-pieces at an affordable price: $1.49.

The same price tag can be said for the Kellie bikini bundle, which also comes in Coral and the "Periwinkle" colors, with a pink Flamingo motif. However, though the design seems a bit too classic to my taste (which slightly matches certain styles found in Granzella and even in Loot's swimsuits), the colors are rather intriguing enough to pique my curiosity.

The periwinkle is a color that's in the blue and purple (violet) family of colors. This color is also known as lavender blue which stands out wonderfully at the sandy beaches with full of sky blue hues. This is also an astonishing color introduction to the Home fashion wardrobe, and it's colors like this is what I'm proud to see, instead of the common blacks and reds. Though I acknowledge it's the design that truly makes the color, something like these colors should be experimented more; a note to the developers, indeed. 


Overall

This release had my mouth wide open, as I was beyond jovial to see more fashion from one of my all-time favorite brands, both in real and virtual worlds. I highly recommend that you at least give the designs a chance this time around.

Included are two of my video volumes which serves as vignettes for each Billabong release. The first volume can be watched normally, while the second I highly recommend that you watch at 720p. The music pieces are to set a tone to the designs, as well as the fashions that fit the musical purpose.
