Magic Sparkles by Dani MtlDesigner

The Dani MtlDesigner catalog continues to grow as we explore the sultry, yet elegant Magic Sparkles line.

By Jin Lovelace

I'm not a big fan of occasional wear.

I'm not fully against it neither. You see, most of the commodity of its kind on Home hasn't struck me as inspiring or riveting for me to give it any worthy note. Though there are several items that I own in my wardrobe, I can tell you right now I've only one when it was first released on Home, which is the Crimson Elegant Dress by Lockwood. Since then--sadly--they've been thrown into "the abyss" that is my storage and left there.

Of course, the heck if I know why the lack of interest in the dresses (more so on Home) for me. Granted, I'm one of the few that appreciate the subtle things in life and such gowns of the past just didn't necessarily draw any sort of attention to me to really purchase them. I've been to a few functions and parties on Home and, to be honest, I've just always been comfortable in a few casual gowns or just a pair of pants and a shirt and put my own elegant spin to it.

Or, perhaps, the lack of a quality design that would challenge my attraction to the dresses on Home. What I long for is something that would stimulate my mind--my interest--on the occasional wear. Aside from "give me a reason for me to buy these items", I wish for a story to be told to me on how some of these concoctions came to fruition. Allocate the inspiration behind the stitching of your garments and make them appeal to the eyes and not give me some generic, static look that would become, later, repetitive in nature of style and character.

Thank the heavens Dani's new Magic Sparkles line doesn't fall under that spectrum.

By spectrum, I mean by not being undefined by class. The Magic Sparkles dresses are beautifully designed to complement the subtle, natural character of the formal gown. The animated speckles laced around the bodice and the skirt of both lengths ensures of its beauty and appeal saving for the stereotypical glamorous look that other evening gowns would allude to impression. The shorter skirt variant - sans speckles - substitutes with a cute bow around the front that alleviates the occasional theme but retains the sultry the signature artistry and beauty.

The six colors available, I find the Lilac to be another enticing colorful experience that's never been seen on Home. From my personal perspective, one of Dani's quality attributes is what's been stated: overall simplicity. Nothing over-exaggerated, enough to bring sheer comfort and eminence that stands out among the typical satire of overly-done glamour.

Though I've grown to become attached to this set, there is something that I wish for Dani herself to explore: accessories! Like, as in releasing a line of accessories to accompany the everyday fashions on Home, such as a colorful line of necklaces, rings, bracelets, and even shoes. Yes, I love the apparel and I hope to see the line grow exponentially with some wonderfully designed pants and tops with your signature flair. However, it would be absolutely stunning - albeit interesting - to see a line of finely detailed accessories with the aforementioned assorted accessories, along with an assortment of shoes.

While I highly laud the dresses this brand produces, I feel there should be a fresh approach to the brand, especially with the natural element and theme the said brand represents. Do I wish to be bogged down with an overt quantity of fashions? Who doesn't! But I'm also noticing the lack of accessories that can really add some depth to the tasteful styles one concocts.

As a huge fan of Handbags and Boots, this would even bring some versatility to the very own styles released in this line, if so viewed. While some of the accessories are accessible, I feel they're also limited to just the Sweet Boho, or the Touch of Spring. Fascinating, yes. Limited, not so much.

Retaining the textures and bright colors - while exploring different hues - can be key to keep the thematic moto behind the Dani collections. For many of us, we wish to see the line expand and in more ways that you can imagine.

Overall

The Magic Sparkles is definitely something to add into your wardrobe, as the sets are priced at $3.49 and available in six optional colors. I'm growing fondly with this release and I favor the shorter dress for the casual comfort but it would be lovely to wear some specialized boots and signature accessories that'll really make some outfits pop.

They are available now in the Dani section of the New & Featured store.
